Shatto Dairy Tour

We had a great tour of the Shatto Dairy on Tuesday. The kids were able to learn all about the milking process – they saw how the cows are milked, tried milking a cow by hand, met some of the cow herd and two baby calves, played with the adorable barn kittens, watched the milk bottling process, checked out a 1950s-style milk truck, and of course, sampled some of the delicious flavored milk, cheeses and specialty jams.

Thank you to Sarah for organizing this event, and thank you to Shatto Dairy for a wonderful tour! Our families had a wonderful time!
