Today we attended a performance of “The Cat in the Hat” at Coterie Theatre. This adaptation was fun to watch and true to the spirit of the book. The kids especially enjoyed all the audience involvement, from a discussion of what to do on a rainy day (reading was a popular answer), to a dance-along with all kinds of feet (fast, slow, tired, busy, etc.), and the bubbles blown by the hand puppet fish. There was lots of laughter as the Cat and Things 1 and 2 systematically (but charmingly) destroyed Sally and her brother’s house. It was a great performance, and we look forward to future events at the Coterie.
