Today we attended an exciting, interactive performance of “Where the Wild Things Are” at Coterie Theatre at Crown Center. This beloved childhood book turned stage performance was full of the wildest wild things the kids could imagine – themselves! The kids were active participants throughout the show, from helping to make Max’s room into a vine-filled wild place, to making themselves into super scary wild things, making Max king (one of our kids was an adorable crown-bearer), and dancing and celebrating at Max’s wild rumpus. Parents and educators were also part of the show – two of our parents were assigned jobs, one to help out with the vines and another to become a tree. Overall, it was a lot of fun!
Thanks to the Coterie for bringing this book to life on stage!
