On the 12th we headed to the Kauffman Center to watch the KC Symphony’s Young People’s Concert. This year’s theme was “Uncle Sam’s Symphony” and the music was suitably patriotic and historic (and fun too!). The Symphony divided itself and the audience into the three branches of government (executive, legislative, judicial) and used those divisions to bring humor and interest into the performance. During the performance was a sing along to a montage of traditional songs, as well as a performance of a Star Wars song voted on by the kids ahead of the performance. As always, we had a great time, and enjoyed our amazing seats! Many thanks to the Symphony for the the great performance – we look forward to our next visit!
