On February 8th we attended an interesting lecture by Charlie Hamilton James, photojournalist for National Geographic, at the Kauffman Center. The lecture was part of the National Geographic Live tour, and focused on his experiences throughout the world photographing diverse animals as well as his purchase of a rainforest. Mr. James has photographed animals such as kingfishers, otters, vultures, as well as all kinds of animals in Yellowstone National Park and Manu National Park in Peru. Many of the national park photos used a camera trap, which made for some very exciting and interesting photos.
We really enjoyed the lecture, admired the beautiful photos, and look forward to attending future National Geographic events!
