On Wednesday we visited the newest exhibition at Union Station, Mummies of the World. This exhibit showcases mummies of all kinds from throughout the world. When you say “mummy” most people think of Egypt; however, we saw mummies from the Andes, naturally mummified animals, human remains preserved in bogs, shrunken heads, and mummified bodies from crypts. We were not allowed to take pictures of the items on display, but they were all very interesting. The kids especially enjoyed the scavenger hunt that came with our tickets. Having the scavenger hunt in hand helped the kids really focus on the displays and the information cards.
Many thanks to Union Station for bringing in this interesting and informative exhibit! We look forward to future visits!
