On the 17th we went to Theatre for Young America at Union Station to watch their updated version of “Jack and the Beanstalk.” Instead of a rural setting, this version took place in an urban neighborhood full of kids and parents putting on their own play of “Jack and the Beanstalk” using props they made themselves. The kids enjoyed the show – the catchy songs, the huge number of kids in the cast, and the creative costumes the characters “made” for their neighborhood show.
We had a great time and are looking forward to the 2016-2017 season at TYA!
