It’s a mystery! Inspector Insector is hot on the the trail, trying to solve a case. Students will use clues to determine if the mysterious creature is an insect or arachnid.
Some of the activities:
* Compare and contrast the parts of an insect or arachnid.
* Learn about their characteristics and behavior.
* Study the life cycles of insects and arachnids.
* Develop skills in arachnid and insect identification.
* Practice simple scientific investigation.
* Meet one of the nature center’s spiders!
Program is geared towards kids ages 5-12. Younger children are welcome to attend. Afterwards, explore inside the nature center, and enjoy a walk on the outside grounds. There are outdoor areas for picnics, if weather permits.
Cost is $3/child ages 5 and up. Parents and non-participating children under five are free.
