June 2015 Lego Club Creations (and treats!)

This Monday was our June Lego Club meeting, as well as Lego Club’s 2nd birthday. Not only did we build on the birthday theme, but we celebrated with some yummy treats, including some with a Lego theme. Whether the kids built creations based on nature, birthday cakes and the number 2, or something out of their imagination, they all had a great time building with Legos and eating the treats too!

When I started Lego Club two years ago, I had hoped it would be a fun activity and crossed my fingers that we would have at least a few kids show up. Now here we are, two years strong, with such wonderful families and kids signing up month after month (and more on the waiting list, too!). Our Lego Club is such a rewarding activity, and I am constantly amazed and excited to see what the kids create each month.

Thanks to everyone for a great meeting, and a huge thanks to everyone who surprised me at the meeting – I was and am truly touched. I cannot say thank you enough to all of you. More importantly, I look forward to many more meetings, starting again in the fall.
