Much fun was had by all on Field Day at Mohawk Park on May 20th! The rain couldn’t keep us down twice and with crossed fingers and only damp ground, we set up some fun challenges for the kids.
Bubbles were of course a big hit with the little ones until the realized they too could Chuck a Chicken. Janet and her sidekicks, Austin and Ian, were stalwart human components of the chicken catapult who soldiered on when their rubbery bands got shorter and shorter from breaking under pressure.
Bean bag toss, long jump, and an obstacle course were all a part of the fun. Impromptu fun with extra rope included tug’o’war and looping rope through a tree to make a Stand On Swing.
All in all, a good time. We look forward to next year!
