On December 14 we had a nature class on Birds of Prey at Ernie Miller Nature Center. The kids learned about local birds of prey, how they have adapted to be hunters, and how they use their senses while hunting their prey. The naturalist explained how the birds’ wings, beaks and talons help them to be effective hunters, and how the differences relate to the kinds of prey that they hunt. The kids enjoyed the class – thank you to Ernie Miller for a nice morning!
