March is an exciting month, with St. Patrick’s Day, World Book Day, Art & Craft Month, Dr. Seuss Birthday, Pi Day, and of course the start of Spring. So, for their mini-kit builds, the kids were asked to build based on any one of the March themes. Judging by some of the awesome creations, they are really looking forward to Spring.
This month we tried a new challenge called Brick by Brick. Each kid was given some scoops of bricks and a single baseplate. Then each kid put 10 bricks on their baseplate, and passed it on the the next kid. They then added 10 bricks to the baseplate that had been passed to them, and passed it along, until every kid had added 10 blocks to every baseplate. After they finished, they had built their own Lego village!
Finally, we closed out March’s Lego Club with a free build session, where the kids could let their creativity run (or drive) wild! Everyone had a great time!
