We had lots of fun in November with our Lego creations! We started with our mini build kits, and encouraged the kids to build things that related to Thanksgiving, teddy bears, Veterans Day and Children’s Book Week, including their favorite stories. Then we had a turkey build in a bag challenge. After that, the kids were asked to make their own art with Legos, especially 2-dimensional art and to think of it as painting with Legos. As always, the kids blew us away with their awesome creations!
Here are some of the things the kids created:
A mountain fortress with a firewall and hidden cannons
Somebody running to pick a pumpkin and there is snow all around
A pumpkin pie with whipped cream
An alligator in the late, a house and flowers
Build in a Bag Challenge – Turkeys
Place in a bag and put them together to create
Turkeys from the build in a bag challenge
The turkey “cheerleading squad”
Turkey cheerleading squad in a pyramid – the kids had fun playing with the turkeys!
Lego as Art
