On Tuesday we attended the latest National Geographic Live! program about the Arctic. The photographer, Florian Schulz, showed us photos and videos from his time exploring and photographing the Arctic. His photographs were very beautiful, and he had all kinds of wonderful videos highlighting the beautiful animals living in the Arctic. He also told us what it is like to live for months at a time in the ice, snow and cold trying to get just the right shot of an endangered animal or a rare trait of animal behavior. At the end of the program, he described the drilling that is taking place within and near the boundaries of the Arctic, and how that not only affects the animals and plants in the region, but affects us all.

Thank you to the Kauffman Center for another great National Geographic Live! program!
