Four 2 hour field trips during each of the fall, winter and spring seasons combine inside instruction with outdoor, hands on interactive activities and outdoor explorations. These programs integrate scientific inquiry with math, geography, history and the arts. Skills based activities focus on observation, estimation, classification, and discrimination.
The typical program includes an instructional introduction using live animals, followed by interactive and outdoor activities(weather permitting), crafts and games.
Because of the need to prepare materials in advance, this is not a drop in program. Students may be pre-enrolled, or call to reserve a spot up from 1 to 7 days in advance.

Home School Band of Kansas City was started as a way to bring home schooled children together in a group band setting. Although home school students can easily take one on one lessons, there is a certain experience playing in a group that can’t be matched with private instruction. The band is for children aged 10 and older. For more information, check out their website.
REW Music Homeschool Band
REW Music of Olathe offers homeschool classes in Band, Orchestra, Jazz and Guitar at their Olathe location. The directors, Bob and Jacki Woeppel, have been working with students for over 35 years to bring the rewarding world of music to life. They believe that God gave us all the ability to praise him through music in one way or another. What better way than to make a joyful sound through instruments while fellowshipping with others. Thinking outside the box, the Woeppels have been able to get the students to feel and enjoy the process of making music while achieving top marks at state contests and festivals. This Homeschool Band and Orchestra will be full of energy, excitement and employ techniques that will allow the students to succeed and have fun learning the valuable art of making music. Check out their site for more information.
